A positive week

Saw my new Psychiatrist yesterday. Have spent the last few days in bed with Flu, but managed to drag myself there and feel better now. She seemed nice, attentive and non patronising which is a difficult mix I think. She confirmed that she thinks I also have Bipolar Disorder.

She just asked quite a few questions really, and will see me agin in a few weeks. I am to stay on my meds, although I think due to the risks of Depakote and pregnancy she would rather I went on Depakote, but I don;t want to play that card yet.

So I have been a good little bunny and taking meds to a T this week, and that along with taking a lot of flu medicines and having plenty of sleep which is very rare has meant my mental state has been good this week.

On tuesday seeing boss at work re returning at the end of month, have been having afternoon naps recently so will have to knock those on head and try and get some level of concentration back.

I'm an afternoon napper too at the moment. I just tell myself "but you've just had surgery" and it seems okay again. How long can I use that card hey lol. Glad this week has been a good one and your psych seems decent. Here's to more good weeks and helpful members of the NHS xx

P.S. You word verification always has the best ones to spell...today is "funtie", just proving tie's are actually fun.

Thanks I pick the word verications myself - lol.

Afternoon naps mess even more with night time sleep as not tired now so need to kick that one but better sleeping than awake sometimes. If you know what I mean.

Sleep is good. In fact sleep is the damn thing full stop I think.

Good luck with the boss. Don't try to do too much too soon unless you're champing at the bit.

I never realised people could choose their verifications! I always thought there was some strange fateful coincidence between the content of the blog and the words!

Take care, Dx

Hi Lareve

Glad you had a good week. Not so good that you had flu but your body seems to be doing what it needs to get through. Anytime sleep is good sleep when you are poorly.

Don't want to pre-empt anything but if you feel ready to go back to work then hope the meeting goes well for you. x
